
Rell Quick Guide – Abilities, Tips and Tricks for Beginners
Champion At a Glance
Rell is a melee tank who plays to engage on enemies with Ferromancy: Crashdown and grouping them up with Magnet Storm. With that bread-and-butter combo, Rell becomes a disturbance being able to follow it up with Shattering Strike to stun groups of enemies and remove their shields.

Strengths
- Powerful crowd control and engage tools with Ferromancy: Crash Down (W) and Magnet Storm (R)
- Break the Mold (Passive) and Shattering Strike (Q) allow Rell to effectively weaken tanky and shielded targets for her teammates
- Full Tilt (E) can easily provide Rell and an ally the movement speed and damage they need to engage on an enemy
Weaknesses
- Can be easily focused down in the front line if she chooses the wrong moment to engage in skirmishes and teamfights
- Rell’s kit leaves her underwhelming when isolated away from teammates who can capitalize on her CC and buffs/debuffs
- Easily outranged and kited by highly mobile and longer-ranged enemies who can avoid her initial engage
Skill Breakdown

Passive Ability – BREAK THE MOLD
Rell’s attacks steal her target’s Armor and Magic Resist on hit, increasing her own Armor and Magic Resist for each enemy afflicted.
Q Ability – SHATTERING STRIKE
Rell thrusts her lance to deal magic damage to units in a line, breaking their Shields. Any units hit are also briefly stunned.
W Ability – FERROMANCY: CRASH DOWN
Passive: Rell gains additional Move Speed while mounted and additional Armor and Magic Resist while armored. Active: Rell changes forms, casting a different spell based on form. Mounted: Rell crashes down in her armor, knocking enemies up and gaining a large shield. Armored: Rell forms her mount, gaining a burst of speed and flipping the next enemy she attacks.
E Ability – FULL TILT
Rell powers up herself and a target allied champion for a few seconds, granting them both bonus movement speed. Rell’s next basic attack or Shattering Strike (Q) will also deal additional magic damage.
R (Ultimate) Ability – MAGNET STORM
Rell explodes in a magnetic fury, violently Pulling nearby enemies towards herself. Then Rell constantly Drags nearby enemies towards herself for a short while, dealing magic damage over time.
Tips and Tricks

Slow Pull, NOT Hard Stun
Enemies affected by Magnet Storm (R) are dragged towards Rell. While this effect might superficially seem like a displacement CC, which prevents enemies from taking action, it is not; enemies that are being dragged can attack and cast normally.
Popping Shields Like Bubbles
It is important to remember that Shattering Strike (Q) breaks shields on all targets hit by the ability. Even extremely large shields, such as those from Gargoyle Stoneplate or Shen’s Stand United (R) are instantly shattered.
Forever Crowd Controlled
Rell has one of the longest and biggest CC chains in the game. She’s able to Full Tilt (E), Ferromancy: Crash Down (W), followed up by her Magnet Storm (R), then once everyone is lined up, and CC’d, she can stun them even longer with her Shattering Strike (Q)!
