Horizon thrives in short exchanges where she can help her team open a fight. Her abilities Gravity Lift and Black Hole, can be used together to find openings and gain an edge over opponents during an encounter. On top of that, Gravity Lift has multiple uses for repositioning and taking vertical ground quickly. Though Horizon is plagued with high cooldowns and was the target of some nerfs, she’s still a tremendous offensive pick when piloted correctly.

Strengths

• Horizon’s ultimate Black Hole is a great offensive tool that completely disorients opponents and debilitates their movement.
• Her tactical ability Gravity Lift is a versatile tool with multiple uses, including scouting for information, pushing enemies, and taking the high ground.

Weaknesses

• Horizon’s ultimate can be easily destroyed, meaning that when deployed improperly, this ability can find little to no value.
• Gravity Lift was nerfed in the past, reducing how long she can sit at the top of this ability. You can no longer shoot with complete accuracy from inside the Lift too.

Skill Breakdown

Class – Skirmisher

Horizon is a member of the Skirmisher Class. Skirmisher Class Legends can look at Care Packages to reveal their contents. You can also see what used to be in an already claimed package.

Passive Ability – Spacewalk

Horizon takes less fall impact when falling from buildings or areas of height.

Tactical Ability (Q) – Gravity Lift

Horizon throws a device that lifts players upward and throws them outwards upon exit. This device stays active for 10 seconds, and players can hover at the top until the ability’s activation period expires.

Ultimate Ability (Z) – Black Hole

Horizon deploys N.E.W.T to create a micro black hole that pulls players towards it. This ability lasts 12 seconds and highlights opponents inside of it. Black Hole has 175 HP and any player can destroy it.

Tips and Tricks

Tip #1 – Black Hole Barrier

All Horizon players should know that her ultimate ability Black Hole is a powerful offensive tool that can completely disrupt opposing players. Some Horizon players might not think about how strong this ability can be as a defensive tool. If you’re caught with low health and being chased down, you can use this ability to block off a doorway or throw it down in a corner and sit inside of it while you heal. This will not only prevent players from pushing through to kill you but also make it harder for enemies to see you as you sit inside of this ability.

Tip #2 – Fish in a Black Hole

If you’re playing Horizon, you should always be picking up grenades to use with your Black Hole. The best option is Arc Stars because of how precise you can be with this ordinance, but thermites and grenades are just as strong if thrown correctly.
