Agent Overview

Reyna feeds off the hearts of her opponents. All of her strength comes from stealing the souls of players she eliminates to activate her Devour and Dismiss abilities. When a Reyna player lands plenty of kills and has a plentiful amount of Soul Orbs, the agent is very self-sufficient. However, when a player piloting Reyna is struggling to get kills, the agent can feel very underwhelming.

Strengths

• Reyna is a very self-sufficient agent with the ability to heal herself and dismiss out of bad situations when she gets a kill.
• Her ability Leer can be used to flash targets, and placed at different angles to throw off the opponent’s crosshair placement.
• Reyna’s ultimate gives her rapid firing of bullets, automatic healing, and even enables her to go invisible for a brief period of time.

Weaknesses

• Reyna’s abilities require kills to be activated, meaning that players who aren’t mechanically savvy should likely look for another agent.
• Her Leers can be easily destroyed, especially by teams who are shooting them in unison.
• Reyna’s Dismiss gives off an audio queue letting enemies know where she is, even in her ultimate.

Skill Breakdown

Ability 1 (C) – Leer

Equip an ethereal destructible eye. Activate to cast the eye a short distance forward. The eye will Nearsight all enemies who look at it.

Ability 2 (Q) – Devour

Enemies killed by Reyna leave behind Soul Orbs that last 3 seconds. Instantly consume a nearby soul orb, rapidly healing for a short duration. Health gained through this skill exceeding 100 will decay over time. If Empress is active, this skill will automatically cast and not consume the orb.

Signature Ability (E) – Dismiss

Instantly consume a nearby soul orb, becoming intangible for a short duration. If Empress is active, also become invisible.

Ultimate Ability (X) – Empress

Instantly enter a frenzy, increasing firing speed, equip and reload speed dramatically. Scoring a kill renews the duration.

Tips and Tricks

Tip #1 – The Flash Master

Reyna’s Leer ability is a powerful flash that blinds opponents caught in its line of sight. However, this ability can be destroyed very quickly with a few bullets. That’s why any Reyna players should be creative with these flashes and look to vary the placement of this ability. If the Leer is placed high, opponents must drastically adjust their crosshair placement to destroy it, enabling Reyna with an easy kill when appropriately timed. And if the Leer is placed low, the same effect can be obtained. Keep in mind that low flashes will not have as much effect on a wide area, and should only be used when the position of enemies is known.

Tip #2 – Turn Kills into Information

Most players know that Reyna’s Dismiss ability can be used to get out of bad situations. Another great use for this ability is to gather information about enemy positions. As the clip shows, Reyna activates her Dismiss ability to scout the entire B Site on Bind. While doing this, she sees the location of an enemy holding the Elbow position. After gaining this information, Reyna uses Leer to blind the player and take an advantageous fight.
