When Riot pushes out a patch, it can be hard to know what\u2019s what<\/a>. A buff doesn\u2019t necessarily mean a champ is good, just like a nerf doesn\u2019t mean one is bad. And that\u2019s why we\u2019ve got your back. This tier list is here to guide you toward what\u2019s good and what\u2019s bad for your ranked climb.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note that this is our low ELO tier list, aimed at Plat and under, which is a big range. Some champs may be more suited to one end of the spectrum than the other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Top Lane Tier List<\/h1>\n\n\n

Starting with the top lane list, the very best picks here are still the beefy big boys. The OP tier is dominated by three tanks, and the S tier is mostly a mix of tanks and juggernauts, with a couple of others sprinkled in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The buff to Aatrox is a pretty solid step in the right direction. Right now, many Aatrox players are doing a tank build to make him work; raising his ratios and lowering his base damages should not just make the tank build less efficient but give a lot more carrying power when you\u2019re ahead in the mid-game. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, all of that said, Aatrox is a champ that does a LOT better the higher in skill level you go. Even when he was an S-tier champ last season in pro play, he was still doing badly, even up in Diamond solo queue. So, we\u2019re just moving him up a single tier for this patch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jax is going to be largely unaffected by his nerfs in this patch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jungle Tier List<\/h1>\n\n\n

Now for the jungle, we have a LOT more changes happening. While Kindred and Rek\u2019sai have been knocked down from their top spots with their nerfs, Ivern remains one of the strongest and easiest champs in the role. If you\u2019re not abusing him, you\u2019re missing out big time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Replacing the other two, we have Jarvan and Rammus. Jarvan is just an insanely well-rounded pick. He has CC and good damage for early ganks, good dueling and his ult is one of the best in the game for team fighting, with it being a death sentence for immobile carries when you catch them out Flashless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rammus makes it here because he\u2019s just the king of consistency. Rammus\u2019s entire existence is playing for picks, and he does that VERY well. It makes pressuring lanes easy, and you can always make picks on overextended foes that lead to free objectives, and if at the right time, even a free win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rek\u2019sai and Kindred are going down to the B tier; their upper ceiling for carrying is still pretty high, but you\u2019ll be much less consistent in getting the early lead you need to do well with them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other big changes to highlight here are Shaco and Shyvana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shaco was low on our tier list before, but that was misleading. His more popular build is AD, and if you went that, he was a C-tier champ. You had to snowball to do anything, but he couldn\u2019t carry a good chunk of games even then.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, with nerfs to some of his biggest counters, buffs to him, AND two lethality items being buffed, he\u2019s looking solid with both builds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shyvana getting AD ratios up across the board opens up more powerful builds around Blade of the Ruined King, Trinity Force, and other bruiser items, and maybe even some for fun crit ones. She\u2019ll still have plenty of magic damage from her kit, making her a true hybrid carry.

Lastly, I feel like I have to mention Zyra. It\u2019s always hard to place a champ in an off-meta role on a tier list. Honestly, maybe this is just overhyping the changes, and jungle Zyra won\u2019t be played at all, but I think she has some potential to make it as an A-tier pick. This is tentative, so check back next patch to see if anything changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mid Lane Tier List<\/h1>\n\n\n

Now, for the mid-lane, the overall hierarchy of champs stays about the same. We have the same OP tier picks, and overall, there aren\u2019t enough system changes to affect the meta here. But a few of the individual changes will have a bit of an impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lissandra and Xerath both make it up to the S tier. Lissandra\u2019s Q change gives her a better gank setup for those times when you don\u2019t have claw up to close the distance for W, while the rest of her changes to her passive and ult make her a lot stronger in team fights, where she\u2019s supposed to shine.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Xerath\u2019s case, he should have a decent bit more carrying power, but you still have to be good at the basics of managing waves and avoiding jungle ganks, as well as hitting his skill shots, to get results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bot Lane Tier List<\/h1>\n\n\n

In the bot lane, we\u2019ll finally move Karthus out of the OP tier and down to the S tier. He will still be strong and is probably the best champ in this tier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seraphine will be taking his place in the OP tier. She\u2019s such an insanely strong laner, with good poke and wave clear that allows her to neutralize and straight-up bully almost anyone else early on. But being strong early isn\u2019t enough; she also goes on to scale just as hard as any hyper carry, meaning she has no weak point in the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Support Tier List<\/h1>\n\n\n

For our supports, Rell has been doing insanely well lately due to how overtuned she is. By nerfing some of her tankiness, but leaving everything else entirely untouched, she should still be good but feel a bit more situational.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Milio\u2019s passive damage and shield movement speed are really changes that affect him in lower ELO more since both of these are on the lower end of his skill expression. As long as you understand how to use the rest of his kit skillfully, he\u2019s still pretty strong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That said, we\u2019ll be moving him down to the S tier, with Janna replacing him as the best Enchanter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
